A home charge point turns an overnight parking space into the cheapest fuel you will ever buy. We install 7 kW smart chargers on houses with off-street parking, including the supply upgrades and earthing arrangements that West London's older installations often need.

EV charger installation: what you get
- A survey of your supply, main fuse and consumer unit to confirm a 7 kW charger will fit the available capacity
- Installation of a smart charge point that meets the UK smart charge point regulations
- Dedicated circuit with the residual current and DC fault protection Section 722 of BS 7671 requires, updated in Amendment 4, and open-PEN protection where needed
- Cable routes agreed with you and made good, including through-wall and underground sections
- Testing, certification, Building Control notification and notification to the network operator

Why 2K for EV charging
A charger is a high-load circuit on the outside of the house, so the earthing and protection have to be right, not just the app. We treat it as the serious electrical installation it is and give you the paperwork to prove it.

Questions about an EV charger
Will my house supply cope with a 7 kW charger?
Most single-phase homes with a 100 A main fuse can. If your fuse is 60 A, or you have an electric shower and induction hob, we may fit load management so the charger slows down when the house is busy.
Do I need planning permission?
Not for a wall-mounted charger on a house with off-street parking. Flats and listed buildings can have extra conditions; we tell you at the survey.
Can I claim a grant?
Grants change over time and currently focus on flats and rented homes. We tell you what applies when we quote.
